Jing Yuan Charity Foundation, in collaboration with the Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Fund (SIE Fund), has extended its support to a social enterprise, Ginger Innovation Limited to promote and implement positive life education and cross-generation education.
This initiative aims to empower elderly through life education training, enhancing their self-efficacy, self-esteem, and sense of identity. By fostering community connections, the program seeks to reduce feelings of loneliness among elderly. Additionally, it encourages younger generations to value the elderly in their families and communities, promoting an inclusive and supportive society.
The program will deliver 16 training sessions to equip 320 elderly with storytelling skills. Of these, 32 elderly will receive advanced training to become “Ambassadors.” These ambassadors will visit university, secondary schools, and community settings to share their personal stories, spreading the positive values of the elderly and inspiring intergenerational understanding.
